These pants were originally  created for taller ladies, to form a definite horizontal line to break up their length. So if you're average to short in length these shorts will break up your silhouette and make you appear shorter.  Even with slim hips and thighs, they might make you look short. They are not more conservative, and the low waistline cut will not elongate your torso if you're short.

It requires guts to wear such a provocative outfit, particularly once you're conscious of where the interest will be drawn first. Boy style bathing suits shouts sex and sex appeal.
